These devotionals were written during an especially challenging time while my husband was battling pancreatic cancer. Each devotional was a reflection on how God upheld us every day with each step, and He led us to a miracle outcome. He is faithful.

My Family, My Blessing
My husband Mel and I have been blessed to be married for over 50 years. I am a mother of four and grandmother to seven—affectionately called “Sassy”—my family has been a source of countless lessons and blessings. I’m continually inspired by what God teaches me daily through them and precious friends. For they all are His treasures of inspiration.
My Journey as a Writer and Teacher
For many years, I taught Bible studies and wrote daily devotionals, resulting in four published books: Sweet Sixteen with Hodgkins, Simply God, Raising Bentley, and Ain’t Life Grand. Feeling called to take a different path for a season, I partnered with my dear friend Jan to host HOW (Hearts of Women), a support ministry for widows that became a true gift to everyone involved. Now, I feel God’s calling to return to writing, and I look forward to sharing the insights and messages He places on my heart.
